Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 5 March 1988. Jefferson talks about growing up in Indianapolis, Indiana and Orlando, Florida. He discusses his marriage, divorce, and current relationship with his children. He tells of his conversion to the Mormon Church, its impact on his life, and comments on the experiences of black Mormons in Chicago, Illinois.
